The Carkeek 40 built by McConaghy Boats in China is ‘bigger’, higher tech and in many conditions faster than other existing fast-40s. At US$750,000 good to go, it is also inevitably more expensive. That said, at least five have been sold!

While discussions continue about the comparative merits of HPR, IRC and ORCi, customers are writing cheques for new Fast-40s.
